2024 Pharaohs International Rally and Arab Motorcycle Championship, organized by Egyptian Motorcycle Federation (EMF) , under auspices of Ministry of Youth and Sports and League of Arab States, ended with prize giving ceremony. Started this month and its activities continue until 8th of May.
Rally started last Thursday after arrival of all participants, with documentation and scrutineering, followed by a press conference, with presence of His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, who appreciated the efforts made by staff of Egyptian Motorcycle Federation (EMF) and Arab Motorcycle Federation (AMF), headed by Ibrahim Farid, President of AMF.
Rally runs with two selective stages started on Friday in Saqqara Area for 150 kilometers, followed on Saturday with final stage, for top three on each category.
Competitors from 10 countries fight for rally title. 2024 Pharaohs International Rally won by USA’ Jim Pearson, who set fastest recording time at all stages, going on top position of 450 CC, with total time of one hour, forty-three minutes and forty-six seconds.
Algerian Seif El-Din Darbal succeeded in securing second of overall standings, and first in the open category (Over 450 CC).
The Algerian brilliance did not stop there, but continued after Abdelkader Mbarki gain third overall, came second in 450 CC.
Egypt, the host country of the event, got trophies,with Ibrahim Fathi came in fourth overall, and third in 450 CC, followed by Makarios Mikhail in fifth overall and second in the open category (Over 450 CC).
German Chris Sautter finished on podium in open category (Over 450 CC), and sixth overall.
The awards ceremony was held in the presence of President of Arab Motorcycle Federation (AMF), Head of Sports Tourism Sector in Ministry of Youth and Sports, His Excellency, Consultant of Arab Motorcycle Federation and Consultant to Ministry of Sports in kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and leaders of Respect Tours, Official career of the event, and thanks to event sponsor Al-Makarem Endurance Stable.
Delegations participating in 2024 Pharaohs International Rally and Arab Motorcycle Championship, coming from several countries, most notably United States of America, Germany, South Africa, Taiwan, Algeria, Libya, Sudan, Palestine and Djibouti, in addition to Egypt, the host nation, received special trophies, shields and medals in appreciation of their participation in this major international event.
