In a significant step toward strengthening motorsports in Egypt, the Egyptian Motorcycle Federation (EMF), under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has announced the organization of the Egypt Motorcycle Rally, held within an official and fully regulated framework that prioritizes safety and professionalism. This initiative reflects the Federation’s commitment to developing motorcycle sports and providing structured opportunities for riders in line with international standards.
The Federation revealed that the rally will be organized in the Baja Rally discipline, one of the most demanding forms of rally racing that requires a high level of physical endurance, technical skill, and navigation accuracy. The event will take place in one of Egypt’s most challenging desert environments, Wadi El Rayan, specifically within the Ghoroud Samuel area, known for its diverse terrain that offers a true test for competitors.
The Egypt Motorcycle Rally is scheduled to take place over two days, Thursday and Friday, January 29 and 30, 2026, covering a total distance of 180 kilometers. The Federation has confirmed that all necessary safety, medical, and technical measures will be in place to ensure the well-being of all participants and the successful delivery of the event.
The participation fee has been set, in return for a comprehensive package of benefits designed to encourage participation and reduce logistical burdens. These benefits include free accommodation at the “Rahhala” camp starting January 29, with dinner and breakfast provided, as well as free transportation of motorcycles from the Federation’s headquarters in Cairo to the rally site and back.
Additionally, the Federation will provide free medical examinations for all participants at the Olympic Center for National Teams, alongside a navigation training course for all riders—an essential skill in Baja rally competitions—ensuring adequate preparation ahead of the race.
Registration is open to all categories of off-road desert motorcycles, and the Federation will award valuable prizes to the winners, along with a unique opportunity to represent Egypt in upcoming international championships.
