The Olympic Center in Maadi hosted today, Tuesday, January 27, 2026, the medical examinations and technical briefing for participants in the Egypt Motorcycle Rally, held under the supervision of the Egyptian Motorcycle Federation and with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The rally is scheduled to take place on January 29–30, 2026, in Wadi El Rayan, Fayoum Governorate.
The medical checks were conducted as part of the Federation’s and the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of all competitors. Riders underwent comprehensive medical examinations to confirm their physical and medical readiness for the demanding rally stages. A specialized medical team supervised the procedures in accordance with the approved medical standards applied in official motorsport events.
Following the medical checks, a technical briefing was held in the presence of officials from the Egyptian Motorcycle Federation, members of the organizing committee, race officials, and a large number of participating riders. During the briefing, organizers reviewed the race regulations, rally route, safety procedures, timing checkpoints, and the system for calculating results, while emphasizing the importance of full compliance with all technical and organizational instructions to ensure a safe and fair competition.
The briefing also included a detailed explanation of the rally stages in Wadi El Rayan, which are known for their diverse terrain, combining sandy tracks with open desert sections. This variety adds a high level of challenge and excitement to the rally, requiring advanced riding skills, endurance, and precise bike control from the participants.
Officials from the Egyptian Motorcycle Federation highlighted that the Egypt Motorcycle Rally is part of an ongoing development plan aimed at promoting motorcycle sports in Egypt, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The initiative seeks to support emerging talents, raise competitive standards, and align local events with regional and international motorsport regulations.
The selection of Wadi El Rayan as the host venue reflects its outstanding natural landscape and suitability for rally competitions, in addition to its role in supporting sports and eco-tourism in Egypt. The area provides ideal conditions for off-road motorcycle events and showcases Fayoum as a key destination for adventure sports.
