Frost fights back on Saturday afternoon

Ryan Frost responded in Race 2, picking up his first victory of the season after finishing as runner-up in the season opener. The 24 defeated Jack Burrows, whilst rookie Marco Holt claimed his first R&G Moto4 British Cup podium at Oulton Park. It was a dramatic race, with the podium split by 0.323s as ‘Super Saturday’ came to an end with the second race of the weekend going the distance.

Burrows made another excellent start, leading the opening stages from Dunabie and Holt as another big lead group began to form. Archie Hooper’s (AH Racing) day came to an early end moments before Jensen Bishop suffered his second crash of the day, this time at Turn 16. Back at the front, the group stretched to seven riders as Frost soon entered P1, setting the fastest lap in the process.

Dunabie made a mistake on Lap 8, running deep on the entry to Hislop’s and dropping to P7 – leaving the #63 with plenty of work to do. His teammate Luke Fitchett also began to get stuck in as he looked for Saturday redemption, sitting ahead of Mason Foster. It didn’t take long for Dunabie to get his elbows out, quickly returning to the top five fight, setting sights on yet another podium.

Clayton Edmunds continued to have a difficult start to the season, crashing out on the penultimate lap and ending any hopes of a rostrum result. All eyes were on Frost vs Burrows: it was another thrilling scrap between the pair, with Race 2 going down to the wire. Burrows entered the final lap as leader, but it was Frost who snatched victory after an epic move on the exit of Turn 16.

Frost took victory by 0.259s, delivering Fibre Tec Honda By MLav Racing their first win of 2026. Burrows remained in second at the flag, securing a further 20 points as Holt grabbed the final spot on the podium after a drag race with Dunabie. 0.041s separated the P3 battle, with Foster, Fitchett, Joshua Williams and Henry McCartney rounding out the top eight. Harrison Day and Aeziah Divine (Fibre Tec Honda By MLav Racing) claimed top 10 finishes, with one race still remaining at Oulton Park. This is a text block.
